His approach is math-physics and quantitative medicine based on mathematics, physics, engineering modeling, signal processing, computer science, big data analytics, statistics, machine learning, and AI. Vladimir Kulchitsky started a
dual scientific and medical career at the Institute of Experimental Medicine of
Sankt-Petersburg, in Russia (1985-1989). His scientific work revealed the
central control of regional circulation by hypoxia. He obtained his Doctor Thesis
at this Institute (1989) where he discovered a link between sensitivity of
medullary chemoreceptors and central regulation of blood circulation and
respiration. He carried out his postdoctoral study as Max-Planck-Society
Fellowship at the Max-Planck-Institute for Physiological and Clinical Research,
Bad Nauheim, Germany (1992-1994), where he started exploring the
electrophysiological principles of the different thermosensitive neurons in
